Scholarships Finder Tool From Ulster University
Ulster University has developed a comprehensive scholarship finder tool on their website, where you can easily search for a wide variety of scholarships available, worth thousands of pounds.
This resource is designed to assist students in locating financial support that may help them pursue their academic goals more effectively.
There are currently four scholarships for the Built Environment on this website (two of which are energy scholarships).

Quest Scholarships
ICE offer scholarships and awards for students, graduates and professionally qualified members at all levels to develop their knowledge and skills and fulfil their potential.
The Queenβs Jubilee Scholarship Trust or QUEST was set up to encourage young people to pursue careers in civil engineering, and over the years has grown to offer opportunities for support and development to existing members.
Quest Technician Scholarship
π Dates: Applications are now open until the closing date of 15 November 2024.
π· Total Value: A scholarship of up to Β£1,000 for students on further or higher education courses that could lead to becoming a qualified ICE technician member.
ποΈ Entry Requirements: To be eligible, you need to be an ICE student, graduate or technician member, starting or continuing your studies from Autumn 2023 or January 2024.Check out the ICE Website to use their eligibility checker.

Quest Undergraduate Scholarship
[now closed, re-opens in March 2025]
π Dates: Closed on 15th October 2024, re-opens from Monday 18 March 2025.
π· Total Value: Up to Β£8,000 over the course of your study, paid work placements every summer and potential for a full-time job with a leading civil engineering or construction company when you graduate.
As well as experience, knowledge and the badge of an ICE QUEST scholar, good for your CV and your career β especially if you want to become an Incorporated or Chartered EngineerThe majority of the scholarships are funded jointly by QUEST and a sponsor company but there are a few fully funded by the CF Lunoe Trust.
ποΈ Entry Requirements: To be eligible, you need to be starting a full-time accredited civil engineering undergraduate degree at a UK university in September/October 2024 and have predicted A-level grades of ABB or higher. Preferable subjects are maths and science or design-based subjects. To check if your course is accredited visit the JBM website.

Built Environment Student Bursary Award 2024 [now closed]
The 2024 Built Environment Student Bursary Award is sponsored by CITB NI, this award will provide financial support to 12 full-time construction students who are pursuing a third-level Built Environment qualification (Level 4 or above) with a Northern Ireland-based training provider.
π Dates: This will officially open on 13 August 2024 and close on Friday, 18 October 2024.
π· Total Value: Each selected student will receive a Β£1,000 bursary to help cover their training costs in their first year.
ποΈ Entry Requirements: To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a full-time third-level Built Environment qualification at Level 4 or above, through a Northern Ireland training provider. Please note: Higher Level Apprenticeships are exempt, as these are already fully funded by the Department for the Economy.
